Our Purpose is to engage all citizens of the State of Florida in the ratification effort. ERA reflects the simple moral American value of equality for all regardless of sex. It is always the right time to do the right thing. The right time is RIGHT NOW — FLORIDA, RATIFY ERA!
Composition of the Equal Rights Alliance
Begun by the Equal Rights Alliance in 2001, the Florida ERA movement is sweeping the state. Allied groups (see Links) are now working alongside. The Equal Rights Alliance, Inc., (ERA Inc., or The Alliance) now comprises:

5 - Florida College and High School ERA Action Teams
58 - ERA Action Teams with actions in all regions of Florida
67 - Florida County Commissions (All of Florida)
16 - Members of the Board of ERA Central, the Pinellas County headquarters
49 - ERA bill cosponsors from both the House and the Senate, out of 160 total legislators
24 - Equal Rights Alliance Advisory Board members (see below)
844 - ERA Volunteers
294,567 - Signed supporters-Members 391 - Member-Organizations, from Florida Nurses Assn.; from American Association of University Women; Florida Women's Consortium; Commissions on the Status of Women, churches, business groups, and The Federation of Business & Professional Women, to Leagues of Women Voters around the nation

What does ERA, Inc. do?
Relocates to Tallahassee, our Florida capital, annually for the Legislative Session during March and April to lobby for the reintroduced ERA bills, one in the Florida Senate and an identical one in the House.
The rest of the year, ERA Inc. manages the efforts of the Florida-wide Teams:
· Providing the most current, accurate ERA information available
· Updating 34 databases
· Tabling and speaking at conventions and regional meetings
· Holding ERA rallies; writing Letters to the Editors
· Speaking before county Legislative Delegation Hearings
· Lobbying in the local legislators’ Home Districts, and creating legislator profiles
· Collaborating with and speaking before allied ERA organizations.

· Collecting ERA petitions signed by individuals and ERA Resolutions signed by leaders of organizations.
· Obtaining Proclamations from Florida’s Governor Charlie Crist (Women’s Equality Day and Women’s History Month)

The ERA Education Fund
Is a separate 501 (c) 3 organization which promotes understanding of the Equal Rights Amendment, its history, the need for it, and current status. Information is disseminated through the media, speeches, our web site, updates and cyber-newsletters.
