Emails tend to just get deleted, but phone calls usually get repeated to the legislator. Asking for “the Legislative Aide” before leaving your message is the better approach; very unlikely you will be talking to the legislators her/himself. This is just how it’s done…and it WORKS.
FOLLOWING ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT LEGISLATORS FOR ERA now. CALL the Legislative Leaders: Speaker Dean Cannon in the House (407-623-5740)
and Senate President Mike Haridopolos in the Senate (321-752-3131). They decide which bills get heard...unlike other states!
Also, CALL Chair Clay Ford of the Federal Affairs Subcommittee in the House (850-595-5550) and Chair Anitere Flores of the Judiciary committee in the Senate (305-270-6550) These are the first committees that ERA bills have to pass. IF ERA doesn’t get heard and passed in their committees, it will be stalled again.
